Natural-Gas Model to Join Honda's Civic Lineup

Travelers and commuters in all 50 states will see a natural-gas version of Honda Motor Co.'s new Civic Sedan, the Civic GX, cruising down the streets this year. After selling approximately, 1,500 natural-gas-powered Civics each year (primarily to governmental fleets and some individuals in only four states); Honda will now be offering the environmental friendly Civic GX nationwide.

Honda's Top Notch Customer Loyalty

The loyalty study by J.D. Power and Associates measured not only the rate automotive brands retain existing customers, but also the reasons customers remain loyal.  Findings show that Honda's customer loyalty is driven by the Honda Accord, the Honda CR-V, and the Honda Pilot and owners' understanding of the vehicles' superior resale value and safety.

Honda's $18,600 Hybrid

Honda, the Japanese auto maker who produces the Civic, Accord, Insight, CR-Z and more has given their new Honda Fit Hybrid a low, low price tag.

At $18,600 USD, this vehicle is sure to be the least expensive hybrid on the market. It could be even lower than their Insight by $3,500 which has been the industries lowest priced hybrid.

While the price tag isn't 100 nailed down, the Fit Hybrid could drop even more for US customers by reaching somewhere around $17,000.

Honda 1st In Consumer Loyalty

Honda has the most loyal customers of any automotive brand. It's now official, according to a customer survey released by J.D. Power and Associates. In its eighth year, this loyalty study "measures the rate at which automotive brands retain their existing customers and the reasons why owners remain loyal."

In 2010, Honda is in first place (tied with American auto maker Ford), with 62% of owners remaining loyal to the brand, according to J.D. Power.

2011 Honda Fit Pricing

The 2011 Honda Fit is headed to dealership lots, and the Japanese auto maker has released official  pricing for the segment-leading subcompact hatchback; Fit will now start at $15,850.

Don't forget to add $800 to change out that stock five-speed manual for an automatic. At that starting price, Honda now includes the stability assist technology, cruise control, remote entry, and a USB audio interface.

Honda Electric Car Unveiled

Honda is releasing its electric vehicle concept at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, alongside a plug-in hybrid that showcases "the next-generation of Honda hybrid technology." Keynote presenters at the press conference will be Takanobu Ito, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. President and CEO, and John Mendel, American Honda Motor Co executive vice president.

Honda's EV and plug-in hybrid cars are scheduled to go on sale throughout Japan and the United States in 2012. Demonstration testing of these products will begin across those countries before the end of this year.

Honda CR-Z at the 2010 SEMA Show

Honda is in Las Vegas and SEMA with a dozen CR-Z cars in various stages of tune, many from in-house divisions like Mugen and Honda Performance Development. The other half are from independent tuners invited by Honda.

Accessory kits for the new CR-Z will include "a full body kit, front grille, rear wing spoiler, 17-inch XJ aluminum wheels, sport mats, black aluminum shift knob, and billet aluminum oil-filler cap.
