Honda Fit & Insight are KBB Top Green Cars

Honda has received many accolades in the past, but in today's world nothing shines brighter than being named the Best Green Car to hit dealership lots and customer driveways.

Honda did this twice. The officials at KBB.com have named both the small Honda Fit and hybrid Honda Insight best on a list of Kelley Blue Book Top 10 Green Cars for 2010.

The Insight was commended by KBB for combining great features, value and performance at the gas pump. A well-equipped Insight starts at only $19,800, and can achieve 40 mpg city/43 mpg highway/41 mpg…

Behind Honda with CNN

"When a new car is unveiled to the public, the thousands of decisions that went into its conception often get lost in the hullabaloo -- along with the identities of the people who made them," this according to CNN Money, which took a closer look at the recreation of Honda's Odyssey.

The 2011 Honda Odyssey was revealed to the press in mid-September. The updated minivan has already generated hundreds comment and dozens of blog posts - this even before it goes on sale at the end of September 2010.

Honda Accord is seeing a bit of a face lift for next year's model, apparently. This, we find out, thanks to the release of the Honda Inspire upgrade in Japan. See, overseas Accord is well known as Inspire.

Honda wants to reach another benchmark by 2012. They hope to achieve this by creating a full line up of plug-in (electric) vehicles for that model year.

The Japanese motor company is looking to raise the ratio of hybrid vehicles to 10 percent or more of total production by 2015. The car maker already hopes to have several electric vehicles going within two years.

Honda has only announced plans to sell a battery-run electric car in the United States simply to meet legal requirements in California, arguing their batteries were too expensive to be practical.

On the opposite side of…

Rave Reviews for the Honda CR-Z

Honda's sports car hybrid, CR-Z, was one of the most anticipated vehicles to come from Honda in years. Since the success of the Japanese auto maker's affordable Insight hybrid car, Honda fans have been asking for more green vehicles. One again, honda has delivered.

Columnist Susan Carpenter, in a recent LA Times review,  took a look at the Honda CR-Z. She staid "The CR-Z never lets the driver forget its environmental mission. Each drive mode rings the yachometer in a different hue of neon light, kind of like a mood ring: green for economy, blue for normal and…
