Power and Associates measured not only the rate automotive brands retain existing customers, but also the reasons customers remain loyal.  Findings show that Honda's customer loyalty is driven by the Honda Accord, the Honda CR-V, and the Honda Pilot and owners' understanding of the vehicles' superior resale value and safety.

Honda has the most loyal customers of any automotive brand. It's now official, according to a customer survey released by J.D. Power and Associates. In its eighth year, this loyalty study "measures the rate at which automotive brands retain their existing customers and the reasons why owners remain loyal."

In 2010, Honda is in first place (tied with American auto maker Ford), with 62% of owners remaining loyal to the brand, according to J.D. Power.
