Safety
An array of standard safety features is ready to protect you and your passengers in every Pilot. These include Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®)[1] with traction control, which helps sense oversteer and understeer conditions, then brakes individual wheels and/or reduces throttle input to help restore your intended path of travel. Additionally, the Pilot is equipped with LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) in all three second-row seating positions and in the right-side third-row seat.

While sharing the road with many other drivers, sometimes a collision just cannot be avoided. So standard safety features in the Pilot can help provide a robust defense. Advanced Compatibility Engineering? (ACE) body structure helps absorb and disperse crash energy over a large area in a frontal impact. ACE also makes the Pilot more crash compatible in frontal impacts with vehicles of differing ride heights. Additionally, front, front side airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor all help to protect you and your passengers.

With its second- and third-row seats folded flat, a cavernous 87 cubic feet of cargo space is available. Think plywood, coolers or a year's worth of frozen burritos.
Load It Up
The tailgate with lift-up glass hatch makes it easy to load and unload whatever cargo you're carrying. The Touring model's power tailgate makes access even easier you can open or close the tailgate with the push of a button.
Ready to Tow
Standard equipment like a Class III trailer hitch, heavy-duty radiator and fluid coolers means the Pilot comes ready with most of what you need for some serious hauling up to 4,500 pounds (4WD)[1]. And the Touring model includes a trailer harness that provides electrical power to the trailer lights.
[1] Maximum towing capacity for 4WD models is 4,500 lbs. Premium unleaded fuel is recommended when towing above 3,500 lbs. Maximum towing capacity for 2WD models is 3,500 lbs. Towing requires the addition of the Honda accessory towing kit, trailer harness and hitch ball. Trailer harness is standard on Touring models. Please see your Honda dealer for details.
